OCD Pellets were designed to provide for the formation of collagen fibers in the fetus where they in turn become bone matrix as the fetus matures. We have recommended feeding all foals as soon as they begin to nibble feed, as this is the most critical time due to the significant growth period. You have a very large ‘breed’ and must address his nutritional requirements as he develops his skeletal system. We have many warmblood babies on the maintenance dosage of 1 oz. per day.
